This 1996 Dodge Ram 2500 Laramie SLT 4x4 extended cab, long bed truck is in great condition and is powered by the legendary 12-valve Cummins diesel engine and automatic transmission. The 12-valve Cummins was the first potent diesel engine to be offered in a pick-up truck. It is a highly sought after engine because it is a true to the design found in 1,000,000 mile big rigs across the country, unlike most modern small diesels that rely heavily on electronic injectors and fuel pumps. This truck comes in with low miles for a 13 year old diesel truck and the engine performance reflects the low miles. This truck has been kept in great condition and looks like a truck half its age. You can tell the truck has never been abused off-road or on the jobsite. This rig shows all the signs of a highway driven truck, albeit rarely highway driven. The Cummins diesel runs strong and the automatic transmission shifts smoothly. The power locks are not operational at this time.
